Default Switching interior cluster parts, does it work?

I have a DX cluster with 110xxx miles, and a EX cluster with 160xxx miles. The DX cluster is on my car, if i pull out the odometer piece of the DX and put it in the EX cluster, will the EX cluster work on my car? The reason is because I want to keep the original miles on my car and have the tach from the EX cluster.

Just change the miles on the EX cluster to match.

It's easier to swap odometers. You can break something if you try to roll the miles.

You could just swap the entire speedometer piece though, including the odometer.

Yeah it is easier. I just didn't know if it would work being a DX going into an EX. So just giving him other ideas.

At least you know your stuff.
