SOLVED Injector harness ground was rusted badly under the bolt, new bolt and cleaned ring connector, it stopped.


1996 civic lx

new and old main relay click the whole time your trying to start it, and very fast, rapid clicking

put new ecu in and nothing.

Pulled the diablo alarm out and resoldered the wires

New battery

no blown fuses


Any idea's?

Im thinking maybe a bad ignition switch

Whats not happening?

 

Do you have fuel and spark? Is the fuel pump turning on?

 

starter solenoid...my car did something like this. if you can hear the relay click its not the ignition switch. if it was the switch you wouldnt hear it click at all. the circuit is good up to the relay so its fine. check your starter solenoid and if it keeps doing it check your wiring from your relay to the starter.

I listened to the clicking and it sounded like mores code

It was the injectors misfiring

Turned out the very clean ground on the thermostat housing was very rusty under the bolt. Put ne bolt on and ground the ring down, it stopped clicking and attempted to fire, but i think there soaked in starting fluid. Needs plugs now lol. But it should start after that.
