If you bore it, get oversized pistons. You can hone the walls if you can't see the scratches.

If you are at all considering boost, do it now.

if your cylinders are oversize then the pistons have to be too. not a hard concept

youll need bigger pistons but whatever you do the main and most important thing is to have the piston to wall clearance right. Im thinking it might be around .001"-.002"

ok guys i cracked my engine today and relized the pistons are fine, rings are fine, no deep scratches anywhere
and the engine spins nice and free

on the other hand the exhuast valve shattered pretty nicely
so new ?

should just change the valve and be done with it
or should i take it to a machine shop and have them reseat the valve
the seat looks fine no dents or anyhting visible, only some small nicks which i could file off

ill be getting new valve seals also, and i may just throw in some rings if i feel the need
what u guys think

i would put new rings and bearings in it since you have it all apart. but if your valve broke you will have to get a new valve...idk how your saying reseat a broken valve. and most likely your gonna have to replace more than one. others may be bent. i would take it to a machine shop and let them look at it to make sure everything is ok

well rings, bearings, head machined, seals, gaskets, clutch, everyhting checked over
will be good enbought for me
i mean it was a damn healthy engine
every cylinder was 200psi compression, and i mean every one was exactly 200 not even off by 2 psi

Bore it to 82mm get new pistons and rings and get a tune. you will gain some power and .2ish in compression points.

redo all the bearing (mains and rods) and redo all the valves/valve seats. dont half *** it or you will just be tearing it down again.
