I was wondering what I should I do because my friend wants to trade cars with me and he has a 1995 honda civic ex gsr with 120,000 miles and he is also giving me a jdm b16a1 block with 35000 miles on it and he said he will let me keep my nitrous kit and alarm and also my wheels and intake and he is also giving me part of a turbo kit a tial 38mm wastegate, ramhorn turbo manifold, turbo piping intercooler and greddy blow off valve also a block guard too. I am trading him a 1994 honda civic ex abs d16z6 tuned on e85 150whp all motor and on 100 shot of nitrous 233whp with 440cc presicion saturated injectors and walbro 255 intank fuel pump also ebay header muffler, hollowed cat and 2.25 inch piping all the way back and lowered on kyb springs on stock shocks, tenzo r strut bar in trunk and ebay front strut bar in engine bay, ngk spark plugs, and last B&M fpr gauge. Their is a little rust on my car but his has no rust and mine has been in a collision so the hood and bumper don't line up correctly also suspesion trailing arm bolt was stripped so I put in a new one and it squeaks like hell . Oh yeah the gsr also has Golden Eagle head studs and all new gaskets helped him out with it . Also I was wondering if I do trade with him if I should put the jdm b16a1 block on the gsr head and gsr tranny because the block only has 35,000 miles on it from tiger Japanese motors . Also he is letting me keep my compustar alarm, please somebody help me out with this ordeal so I can get everything figured out before he ends up selling it thanks

umm not to sound like a total d*ck but why is he trading his car for yours? plus all the other stuff. to me its like his car is worth way more then yours and then he's giving you all this other stuff. i wouldn't even debate this trade. i'd just friggin do it.

As Anon Said.
If your even going to DEBATE this, then just quit and shutup.

Your getting basically a 10 dollar bill for a dollar.

Yeah I think I'm going to do it the only reason why I was debating is that I beat that car when I got tuned but it needed a new headgasket and the only thing I have to do to get it running right is get the timing right everything at TDC top dead center because right now it won't rev past 3000 rpm if anybody thinks it is a different reason let me know because thats the only thing I'm of. Also I was wondering if somebody could tell me if the jdm b16a1 block should I swap the block with the gsr block because the gsr block has 120000 miles on it and the b16a1 block has 35000 miles on it also I want to do that because I'm going to turbo this motor and putting on the b16a1 block would lower the compression which is good for boosting the motor please somebody help me thanks

You might aswell keep that GSR in there for now until it finaly gives in or when your ready to boost, and have the full kit waiting for install.

If your timing is off and its being driven still, goodluck.
You'll only find problems in that.

but I'd keep that GSR block in there until it gives. Then the B16 and boost

Your choice though. Goodluck! Be sure to get some pictures when your doing it all man!

Also my car has msd coil and msd cap and he also said he might let me keep my exhaust system but he stripped the bolt on the header but he said we can heli-coil it out and a new bolt will go right in like before when it wasn't stripped and then it wont leak and it will be much faster because when I beat him it had a leak too but somebody please give me some advice. So I can make a decision and start getting it running right

This is getting so confusing.
You just keep listing more and more problems as you go about posting.
Now im becoming weary of this.

I'd have a professional mech look over the car first and see what he says.

I will get some pics up soon, oh yeah he didn't drive the car when the timing was off because he has 4 more other cars so yeah he uses another car that he has while this one just collects snow in his driveway.

Eh, seems like a lot of problems though.
So let me get this in short..

- Won't go past 3000 RPM
- Timing is off
- Won't run?

Thats all?

Could be, but there could be maybe other problems, bigger or smaller.

One of the positioning sensors maybe bad, causing it to do this.

Does it rev past 3k in neautral and is it only something that happens during driving, or does it even not rev past 3 in neutral?
That could be a problem.

It does rev past 3000 during neutral but not while driving that's why I thinks its the timing because before it was running pretty good even with the blown head gasket but has been replaced now and also has golden eagle head studs to dont know what to think

Please somebody give me some advice so I can find out what to do with my car and if I get his car should I use the jdm b16a1 block on the gsr head because the block only has 32000 miles and the gsr has 120000 miles

This is all a little confusing, but I would see if you can get his car running well, then make the trade, it's great for you!

And keep the GSR block, why downsize the motor?
