How do WW Mid-Wings or even JDM Mid-Wing attach to the car?

How do WW Mid-Wings or even JDM Mid-Wing attach to the car?
I heard the WW was held on by 3M sticky tape, but that seems hard to believe. What about the JDM ones? Did those cars just come with holes so it bolted right into it or something?
