Heres some pictures... Well one day i turned on my engine and everything just started shaking, well i found out that this thing came loose. Dont know if it broke or not.......Maybe you guys could tell me? Could that little metal stick come off? Well mines did. Could i replace it? How?

Did it break off or did it just fall out?

You can get a new key at Honda.

All you need to do is get a new one from Honda or a friend and put it back together. The only way that could possibly come off is if the crank pulley was loose, obviously.. so make sure you tighten it down this time!

 

So it cant break or anything?

You may want to consider what caused it to break off. Look for seized accessory pulleys, interference with other parts, etc.

 

Hrm.... I dont know if there was any interference. What do you think have caused it?

 

Could be a seize AC compressor.

 

crank pulley bolt prob. came loose and allowed the pulley to wobble which in turn chewed through the key way.

 

Could i purchase a new key for the pulley? and how would i be installing it?
