Default kinda dumb turbo manifold question

I am piecing my next turbo car together in stages... So I was wondering can you install the turbo manifold (w/o a turbo) and use the car? I was thinking of having a plate made to go over the "port" where the turbo usually goes.

My reason for doing this is I want to have my 3" Thermal exhaust put on and I want to have everything done all at once (manifold, downpipe, test/flexpipe and cat-back exhaust), so no further effort would be required when making the transisition from NA to FI.

TIA

How will the exhaust get out of the engine?? There is no way you can drive a car with a blocked off manifold.

Put the manifold on and weld plates over all the holes

You are no help whatesoever. Instead of replying with an insult, how about providing some technical assistance, which is the whole point of this board...

I didn't know ALL of the exhaust was routed through the exhaust side of the turbo... so I will myself too.

It will more than likely be more trouble that it's worth. Just do everything that you can first, and then install the manifold/turbo/exhaust all at once.

Well, OK I guess I will have to have 2 testpipes made then. One for the regular header that flares from 2.5 to 3", then another for the downpipe when I get that
