Default d16y7 in 89 crx si

whats up guys, new to the site, i just picked up a 89 crx si with a d16y7 out of a 96 ek coupe. the crx has been converted to obdI and i just picked up my injectors and distributor out of an eg coupe this morning.

my question is, i am missing the driver side motor mount. would a standard SI motor mount from a 89-91 crx work with the d16y7 or would i have to get something from another model to work.

ill post pics of the rex later tonight.

thanks for any help.

so yeah you can use a stock crx mount to mount it up.
as long as you stay d series all other stock parts should work, except for things like wiring and ecu.

awesome, i just towed the rex to my house and took a quick look under the hood, the guy pulled a motor mount already that looks like it will work, if not, i will make it work (drill new holes for the engine mount to go thru.

i am new to the honda scene but not new to modding and working on cars. i am strictly JDM, no body kits, no rims bigger than 15" i like to keep the car looking as stock as possible with the exception of rims, suspension and other slight modifications that go well with the car.

my current car is a 2006 Scion xB that has literally put me in the poor house, i've got Tein ssp coilovers, XXR 15x8 +15 offset, 10mm hub spacers in the rear, toyota bB headlights, foglights, looking for the bB hatch and rear bumper assembly. I/H/E the works lol...heres some pics of the box and ill post some pics of the rex tomorrow sometime.

ek mounts are different...

you need the oem d15b2 or any SOHC d-series driver side bracket from 88-91, and the 88-91 driver side mount.

after thats is installed you can easily find a y8 head for around $120 and then you got a good d series engine with vtec
