Default KYB Question

I'm kinda new to aftermarket suspension, and I went with the KYB AGX/Ground Control coilover combo.

I was looking over the AGX's and I noticed that I was able to push the rod down by hand, with considerable pressure. I just wanted to know if that's ok. These are going on a 95 Civic, can anybody confirm that they are not adjusted with a ****, but by a slot on top of the shock? The dealer I bought from said they started the **** adjustment for the 96-00.
