My wife's 03 CRV has started overflowing gas when she fills the tank. She tells me when the tank starts getting full it burps gas back out before the nozzle shuts off. Also she is getting a intermittent check engine light, but the code clears before I get a chance to read it.

Is there some sort of a vent line, or breather I can check?

 

Thoughts or suggestions anyone? Or can someone tell me how Honda vents the gas tank on a 2003 CRV? Any help would be appreciated.

 

The ORVR valve is probably sticky on the top of the tank. On that one I'm pretty sure it all comes as an assembly, sometimes it's part of the tank, a quick call to the dealer parts department can find out.
