Default ef gsr will not start

i have a 89 ef hatch with gsr swap, engine will start and run on like 1 cylinder. running obd1 injector and ecu, i didn't relize i didn't have to run the resistor box, and run with box a long time, the box is toast, i cut the wires and put them together. i ran a good ecu, dizzy, injectors, and a good main relay, still will not start up right, and u have to push the gas pedal down to keep it running. i haven't try fuel pressure regulator yet, but anyone come across problem before can give me some info.

is not firing order, really is my friend car that i helping him to get it running, i find out few problem. one was out of time by 2 teeth, second the obd0-1 jumper was bad, after fix both, it ran better, so did compresson test. gsr with type r piston bore 81.5, mill head, it was pulling 250 on 1, 210 on 2, 270 on 3, 260 on 4. did a leak down, almost broke the needle on 1, assuming 400, 270 on 2, 350 on 3, 360 on 4. so i assuming rings no good and also either carbon build on valve or bend valve. the motor only 8months old, not even 6000 miles on it. i tried to help him explain that possible rings and something going on with the valves, he ask the machine that build his motor(along 3 other they build for him that blew up, and they are dirt track race car building...) they said that with that much compresson that he be 14:1 and that he should ran alchol, and thats why he blew his motor, and also his compresson gauage is wrong. i told him, it doesn't matter u read 100psi or 1000 psi, if gauage is wrong, it wouldn't make your number 2 over 20 of a different then any other cyclinder. any of you guys know wheres a compresson table online somewhere so i can show him what i talking about. thx

So he drove it 6000 miles without a problem, and now it's having issues?

Can you hear where the air is escaping from with your leak down test?
