Van shifts from D to low gear while driving. I was unable to move it back into Drive while braked at a traffic light. I drove 2 miles and put it in park, then back into Drive again. This is a 2002 Honda Odyssey with 91,534 miles.

 

I don't understand, does the shifter move or does the light on the dash all of a sudden change?

 

The light on the dash changed and I felt like it was in 1st gear too. Also, about a month ago it would blink in "D" going to work at 60 miles an hour.

 

Take it to a dealer and have the codes read 1st. The flashing "D" light is the check engine light for the transmission.

I needed a selenoid switch cost $250.00 at the dealers. Thanks for all your help.
