Icon6 A Different DPFI to MPFI Conversion Question...

Hey all I follow the forums pretty closely but have never subscribed because I've always been able to find the answer to my question by searching google... Until now. I know this topic has been beaten to death but I think this should be a pretty easy question to answer... Sorry if I've caused any problems by posting a new thread.

Ok so I have a 1991 Honda CRX DX with the DPFI engine in it....
I'm planning a motor swap for this spring and I know that I need to convert to MPFI to suit the motor that is going to go in(Pre-OBD B18a1). I know the ecu will need to be changed as well but as far as the wiring goes I'm NOT very happy with the idea of cutting, splicing, and running "extra" wires into the engine bay. I could do it but it would bug me knowing that something COULD go wrong with one of the connections. If my thinking is correct isn't it just that the wiring harness that runs under the dash from the ecu into the engine bay is short a few wires for the injectors? If this is the case would there be any problems with pulling the dash and running the harness out of an HF or SI which is already MPFI? It should all plug right in correct? This would be alot easier and quicker for me because I already have my dash out and I have access to 14 crx parts cars. Thanx in advance!

If it's already apart, than yeah, you can do that, replace the whole harness with a mpfi

Thanx for the speedy reply! I figured this would work but I figured I should double check before I buy a harness for no reason. Now I guess my last question on this topic would be about the engine harness...

The car is OBD0 and so is the b18a1 I got from a 91 integra so there will be no need to convert to OBD1. (90 and 91 tegs are OBD0 I believe?) The engine harness for the B18 will hook right up no problems right? Thanx again for answering my noob questions

90-91 integras are "OBD0." Use the Si Harness, not the integra one.
