Pads scraping rotors at all times!
I did the Legend caliper swap on my 4th gen this weekend. The parts I swapped in were:
*Legend calipers
*Powerslot VTEC rotors
*Stainless steel lines
*Axxis metalmaster pads
I used the backing off an old set of VTEC pads for the shim. While I was getting the calipers on, I noticed that the clearances were really tight. Later on, while driving home, I noticed a strange vibration that would go away under braking. I figured the pads were scraping the rotors, but I really had no choice but to drive home. Right before I got home, the vibrations got much worse, and upon arrival, I saw that my front wheels had a ton of brake dust on them.
My rotors were really really hot, so I'm hoping that I didn't warp them. Otherwise, is there any advice or help I can get? I did the swap according to instructions from NTPOG and the now-defunct hondaprelude.com, so i don't know what went wrong....needless to say, I'm stuck without a car until I can fix this.
