Default P1491 code on 99 Honda Accord

I have a Honda 99 Accord. I have two codes P730 and P1491. The drive train does not change beyond 2nd gear. Can anyone give a lead on where to start .

is your accord a v6?
P1491 insufficient EGR lift. pretty much you have to replace the egr valve and if it's a v6; you have to remove the intake manifold and drill/clean out the egr port to remove carbon build up. honda has a repair kit for this problem for v6's

P0730 Problem in Shift Control System
i think you should fix the egr problem 1st as its possible that it may have contributed to the P0730 code.
Best Of Luck
