Buying: D16Z6 engine (1995+) or a B18B1 engine (5-speed MANUAL only)

D16Z6 specs:
- GOOD running condition
- No oil leaks
- No problems, must be in working order
- OBD1

B18B1 specs:
- same as above
- Need transmission mount
- Shift linkage
- B18B1 ecu
- OBD 1!!!!

Looking to pay straight cash for a running swap! Drop off preferred.

Did u over torque the bolt?

 

I may have - But its been running good since my last repair and didnt think about it.

Actually I get your question - no i didnt overtorque the bolt. it was running then suddenly engine started acting weird. pulled over and the crankshaft pulley was hanging off slanted off the crankshaft. Had to get towed back.

Looking to buy one by end of sunday - needs to be in good condition! No leaks, absolultely nothing wrong with it.

 

i would drill it,relieve some stress on it and you might be able to back it out-
or pull the crank out and have a machine shop remove the broken bolt.

 

could try that

 

btw anyone try to drill tap these out? Could use some help with what drill size tap needed and all that.

 

is that thread lock? keep this to the top, let get him a motor asap, and sorry i haven't gotten back to u about your other z6, money got tight real fast

 

Thats cool man - the other Z6 i might have to pull the crank outta there and put into here but that would mean rebuilding this whole motor which is easily 500+ bucks.

I mean the bolt was torqued in and it broke offwhile driving (which no idea why)

 

o wait the whole crank broke too,it looks like- nevermind,you need a new crank.

 

Oh the pictures show the broken bolt - yeah the crank seems good but its the bolt that stuck in the crank
