Default Im having MPG issues with my GSR

I cant get past 300 miles on a full tank

Ive changed the timing belt, water pump, and spark plugs

So new cap and rotor is next on the list

Also the power band under vtec cross seems to have a very slight stumble

Any idea what this could be?

Im also not throwing any codes

If your timing is on, then I would do a basic tune up, cap, rotor, wires, air filter, fuel filter. Also, run a can of seafoam in the gas tank.

Miles on a tank isn't very useful. For all we know, you're only dumping in 7 gallons each fill.

What is the actual mileage, averaged across several tanks to remove random variance?

My 2000 GSR has averaged between 19 and 22mpg over the last 2 years, 95% city driving, and lots of idling at red lights (30 to 45 minute 6.6 mile commute).

Since the GSR was only rated at 22/28 by the EPA, if you can hit 300 miles on 10 gallons (about what most of us fill up with) you have the oddball "killer mpg" car.

I usually fill up around 300 miles also, 10 gallons, 30mpg. That's pretty good.
How many gallons when you fill up?
Is your car modified?

Stop pushing the car past 3500 RPM. Integra's don't get great MPG in the first place

stay out of vtakk!!! lol plus you have to add in the extra 1/4 - 1/2 gallon of gas you can fit in the filler neck.

30 mpg and your crying? have you read any of the other mpg threads and seen what gsr's get, especially in city?

what I would do is reset your trip, fill your gas tank to its neck, and I mean all the way till some gas comes out(even though thats stupid its an essential to get precise results) and then do your normal driving untill you have used a substantial amount of gas(atleast half tank) and then fill her all the way up to that neck again, write down how many gallons it needed and how many miles you did with that amount of gas.

in example I reset my trip, zero it out and fill my gas tank full, drive for a week (280miles)untill Iam almost at empty and fill her up to the neck which last was 10 gallons. 280 miles divided by 10 I get 28 mpg out of my ek4 b16 and I baby it(this is urban driving btw)

If its city driving, dont complain lol and how do you figure you cant get 300 miles to a tank? have you ran it all the way down until you ran out of gas? I fill up my tank usually once I hit 250 miles on the tankfull.

That's ridiculously above normal. Is your gallon the same as ours in North America?

Normal mileage on a GS-R seems to be anywhere from 20 to 30 miles per gallon. Ours is bone stock and consistently gets 24-27 mpg around town (with a mix of local and highway miles), and gets 29-33 mpg on a long trip.

Chech the screens in your injectors. They are probly clogged. Loosin' the3 10mm bolts on your fuel rail and pull the injector farthest from the fuel filter. There is a small plastic filter in the top of the injector. Blow it out with compressed air or carb-brake cleaner. Hope this helps. Let me know.
