for some reason when i put my new hood on my 90 hatch it doesnt want to open now. How can i open it???? The latch on the inside of the car was lose! PLease help!!!!!! I dont want to have to pay to have someone open it!!!!!

 

Pull the bumper off. You'll have full access to the latch mechanism then...there are no fasteners holding it on which require the hood to be up:
-2 phillips head screws in the wheel arch per side
-2 M6 bolts underneath in the front X-member
-pull the turn signals out of the bumper and disconnect them
-2 M8 (or M6 depends on the trim level) bolts per side behind the turn signals
-lift 1/4" to get the bumper core off the hangers and pull the sides away from the wheels arch, it should now be off.

 

when i first installed my intake, it touched the hood and for some reason i could pull the latch inside the car and the hood wont pop..... well i found out thta the intake was pushing my hood up ..... u can make sure nothing its touching the hood as a first.,.. have someone just tap the hood or move it a littl ewhile u try to pop it from the lever thingy......happen to me a few times.......

 

Try to find the cable that connects to the back of the hood pully. Grab a set of Needle nose pliers and pull on that cable. See if that works!
