the 1000's are enough to do 500whp but i thinnk you will be maxxed out with the 255 or damn near maxxed out..ive seen 460whp on a single 255 with 1000's on E98, and the injectors were about out though (They wernt ID's tho)
so then how did i do 444whp with a single 255 and 880cc injectors?

ford gt pump ? do you have a link i would think the Injector Dynamics injectors would be maxed out at 500whp on e85 . there has to be more people on here thats done it.
Part number on the GT pump assembly is 4G7Z-9A407-CA
As for a single walbro and the saturated 1000cc injectors from ID or Fuel Injector Clinic, i've seen up to 513whp, but also as low as 460whp. Every set-up is different.

Here's the thing: Ideally, you want the pump to be capable of about 15% more volume than what the injectors can flow at the pressure you're going to run them at.
At 45 psi, your ID1000's will flow 95 lb/hr each x 4 = 380 lb/hr
At 50 psi, your Walbro 255 will flow about 390 lb/hr
That's only a 3% difference - and that's if you get a good Walbro that flows what it should.
But now we have to compensate for boost.... since I don't know what you're running, I'll figure a hypothetical 20psi:
The delta across the injectors (ideally) shouldn't change, so they are still going to be capable of flowing 380 lb/hr.
But now the pump has an additional 20 psi to push against and at 70 psi, it's flow drops to 335 lb/hr. That means at about 85% duty - you're done! Out of fuel.
Just keep this in mind so when you're tuning and you start to reach 75% ~ 80% duty cycles, someone starts watching a fuel pressure gauge because you'll be very close to a catastrophe.

hey have you had any experience with holley fuel pumps, i saw on their website that they got a holley feul pump 255 for $164 and it says it supports up to 650hp. any advice?
here is the link, now whats the difference from the walbro 255 fuel pump from the holley 255.
here is the link

i just looked at one of the cars on tony1 web site he made 435whp with the 255 pump and id 1000 injectors . but im still feeling it maybe maxing the pump out. is the 255 the biggest pump walbro makes and what the biggest in tank i can run.
I might get the holley fuel pump, they say it will support up to 750hp and its an intank fuel pump easy to install and its only 184 free shipping.
That link shows a 255 lph in-tank pump that looks identical to a Walbro. 255 lph is 255 lph, regardless if it's Holley or Walbro.....
This is where I strongly disagree with the marketing that goes on with 'fuel stuff'.
They could claim that same pumps supports 1000 HP since it flows 500 lb/hr. Too bad it flows 500 lb/hr at 0 psi and it would be tough to run any fuel injection system at 0 psi..... There are zero standards or specifications when it comes to these HP claims and because of this, you really have to understand what you need, and why you need it.
1. They don't specify the system pressure for that HP rating
2. They don't specify a fuel for that HP rating
Those are two fairly important parameters when it comes to setting up a system.
It you ran it to a carburetor at 5 psi on gas, it could very well support 1000+ HP, but if that's not what you are going to do with it - what good does it do you? There are some companies that really take advantage of this, I've helped a lot of people who have been misled and screwed by these exact same 'ratings'.
Cliffs: looks like a walbro 255 with install. kit to me.

thank you all for all the info . what is the best place to pick up a 044 price wise ? and doe anyone do any package deals on the pumps ?
I just tuned on e85...Made around 350whp with a walbro 255 and precision 1000's. My duty cycle was 73% with 60 base fuel pressure.
