Default Getting new Wheels -OEM wheels question

So my stock Fat Fives are finally getting to the point where they are ugly. I'm going to get new tires and wheels for summer, and I haven't quite decided on what to do. My options are:

Brand New OEM Fat Five wheels from Honda(expensive)
Brand New OEM REPLICA Fat Five Wheels (Ebay, don't know anything about em)
Brand New Rota C10's.

What do you guys know about the replica OEM wheels on ebay? Are they the same? I don't want to buy anything if it's not good quality, or looks the same.

do a craigslist search. you can find nice fat fives with good tires on there from $200-$300.
i would keep a eye out for a set of gsr blades if i was you. the look the best on any integra. or go with a set of c10's i have both. lol. and do your self a favor and stay away anything knockoff on ebay.

Why are you buying another set of OEM gsr fat fives lol? No offensive but to me, their look isn't all that great. Might as well get some gsr blades or some decent aftermarket ones that look just as nice.

The Fat Fives are the best looking wheel from that era, IMO. I don't really like the blades. As I stated, I am selling mine because they aren't in that good of shape. I want mint ones

Dude i have fat fives on my gsr, and i love the way the look dropped. They need cleaned up though.. But they are sitting on a 2 inch drop and they look pretty decent.

Blades look cool too, but people treat them like gold and IMO want way to much money for them.

I'd get Rotas or Konigs. I just got a set of Feathers and they are LIGHT. Otherwise you could look into LS meshes. Those are the best looking Integra wheels IMO and the lightest, too.

Konig feathers also an amazing choice, very very light, lighter than blades and meshes, wieghing in at 7lbs a wheel. I have a black set on my old LS that i need to pull off, cause its wrecked.

Gagnar how are those treating you by the way.

I'm expecting the lugnuts to arrive today! I'll only have them on for a second, because I need to get them on so I can get my old wheels off and have winter tires put on them. Then it's back to the old wheels until spring .

FWIW the Feathers are great, but 15x7 feathers are 11.9 lbs. (or so). Maybe 14"s are 7 lbs.

i have ebay replica LS mesh/split spokes on one of my integras, and they are awesome. i've had them on my lowered LS for 4 years, now. the only reason they look different is because i make my own center caps out of gatorade bottles : ) there is virtually no difference in appearance otherwise.

for what reason, exactly? a cast aluminum wheel is what it is.

Good to know... I absolutely LOVE fat fives. My favorite by far. I love them so much more now that my car is lowered, but like I said, I want them to be mint. I'm either looking at Rota C10's or the new fat fives.. I'm thinking the replicas would be fine

Well, it's true that the casting process matters a lot in terms of weight and strength of the metal.

aluminum polishing ruge and a polish wheel on a drill or air grinder, just be careful that you dont scratch them with the lock nut on the polishing wheel.

or 1500 sand paper and work up to 2000 grit, and then polish them if there are some pretty intense stratches.

thats what i would do, i have some fat fives that need polished too

Another option is to find a shop that can refinish wheels. I had my blades refinished at about $80 per rim. They looked like they came straight from the factory.
