my cv boot is ripped on my passenger side axle on my prelude. I was wondering if I could use the axle off my accord to replace it. I have heard they are diff lengths, but how much different?

 

Should work. I have run an axle from a 98 SH prelude on my passenger side for like a week. With the H23a1 tranny, the accord axles fit fine. Pop em out and see.

 

That's odd. I think I've got my axles straitened out now and as far as I know it goes like this: 4/5G Accord and 4G Ludes are the same length but 5G Ludes are a bit longer and will bind with a 4th gen Accord (but apparently not a 5th gen if Brian is doing okay).

I only had it on my car for a week, so who knows? Its one of my spares right now, Im running the DSS prelude axle setup now.

 

4g accord axle is shorter than 4th gen lude axle....fyi

 

hate to wake this thread but one of my customers blew his F22, got a h22a long block and he thinks he can use the accord axles.. told him to invest in an intermedite shaft and driver side axle. Will the accord axle even work for now till he can track one down?
