Looking for a good winter tire...
I know I shouldn't, but I'll be driving my GSR through another Montreal winter this year, but I'd like to pick up a good set of winter tires. My plan is to get Azenis 205/50/15's mounted on my mags for next summer, so I want an all out winter tire for this year (no all season crap).
I'll be mounting them on steel rims, so what should I get? I don't really want to brake the bank, so I guess I'm looing for a good deal...
TIA

I used the Dunlop Graspic HS1, it has good fresh snow traction, and ok on ice and hard pack snow. I got mine from tirerack for about $45 per tire.
winter tires huh? well i live in colorado, and have driven summer tires year round, but if you want some of the best performaing winter tires i would find some blizzaks or get the michelin pilot winter tires, those things have so many siphoned edges on there that you'll be able to run circles around all those four wheel drive suv'ers out there.
I ran blizzaks last year and fell in love with them. The one thing that i did'nt like about them was the tire wear. But for the grip and handling "IN THE SNOW" they were a even trade off.
FYI, I will be running them again on my teg.
