My valve damaged my piston,.....
Well my piston was damaged from a valve and I was wondering what you guys thought of the damage. I am poor, and this is my daily driver. Do you guys think It will be okay? I would hate to have to take it apart. It runs perfect.
Well, I would be too paranoid to run that, but many people would probably tell you "as long as it holds compression, and you don't expect it to last forever, go for it".
If you decide to run it, consider lightly going over the impact point to remove any sharp edges left behind.
But, what caused the contact in the first place, and has that issue been addressed?

The valve bent and didn't close all the way. It only ran for a few seconds after noise came. I just happen to have a p-72 cylinder head in my garage that is in great shape I will be using. I am not gonna run any aftermarket parts on it like intakes or headers.
there is nothing wrong with that piston. use some sand paper and or rolls to smooth it out and repair the shape. just make sure no sharp objects are sticking up as these promote detonation by impacting the chamber swirl
I have seen much worse. I can't beleive this happened to me. I am the one always saying "how did you do that?, I have never blown a honda engine. You must not know how to drive."
