Ok so my friends accord is acting up and asked me to look at it. I looked at the motor and nothing is out of the ordinary. Checked all the wires, plugs, vacuum hoses, etc. I started the car and its starts right up but I noticed that the engine light was on and blinking. Also the motor was making a knocking sound. I'm thinking its one of the rods but I'm not 100% sure. Anyone can shed some light on this situation?

 

well, take it to get scanned, or buy a cheap scan tool so you can get the code. that will tell you what the CEL is.

 

I checked it again now I know for sure its not the rods but the engine light is still blinking so I know something is wrong. Yea I'm gonna have her get it scanned.

 

yeah, the DTC can really put you in the right direction, not just guessing and hoping.
