ditch the pinstripe

 

i thought of that, but im not gonna do anything to it so i can resell it to honda and put a hefty amount of money on the s2k :], or just go get me a registered skyline

To the OP the pinstripes are put on at the dealership...not by Honda.

im sure ide like it more if it did not have the same simularities to the 08 and 09. there just little things different

 

Hair dryer, fingernail and patience. Just heat it up a little and it comes right off.

Why on earth would you buy a new car if you want to buy an S2000? That's just a silly waste of money.

 

Muffin you beat me to it. Why do you own a civic si when your getting an S2000? also why get the si and pay it of in a year and a half to get the s2k? You stated that you want a hefty downpayment on the s2k but i guess you didnt realize that cars are a depreciating item.

 

The s2k was right out of my price range due to insurance and payments, I don't have the 530 bucks a month for insurance so I'm paying 235 a month forthis one due to my records and tickets! So civic it is, leaves money in my pocket st the end of the month

 

so why in a year and a half will you be able to get an s2k?

 

LlI'll have this one payed off and my credit will be ballin! Which will be lower on mypayments.

Getting a used car more in your price range and a loan for that would have been better. Your depreciation is going to kill you

 

Actually I believe the manufactuers put the pinstripe on. So depending where your car was built will determine wheather or not it will have the pinstripe.

I know for sure if it was built in Canada it will have the pinstripe. And the Canadian pinstripe "tradition" dates back to the 1st gen integra.

The dealer isn't gonna waste time and money on the pinstripe, it isn't a selling point. Besides how can a tech get it straight anyways? I couldn't lol.

LMFAO... The dealership puts it on. There's no arguement about it. Besides, every single 8th gen Si coupe is manufactured in the same plant in Ontario, Canada. I think the Si sedans might be too but I'm not positive. But anyway, if your theory were true, every single FG2 would have a pinstripe.

 

Um, it's not a selling point, it's a way to mark up the price ridiculous amounts, they charge an additional ~$300 for pinstripes.

the typical attitude of "gotta have everything now even though I can't afford it" mentality which helped to put our country in one of its worst recessions. Some people just don't get it.

 

You guys all say that the dealer puts them on. well i got my Si as it came off the truck. we backed it off and I drove it onto the lot and the car had pinstripes on it already. and the pinstripes them selves were 99 dollars still have the price tag from the car. Also they had 2 06 black si's and they didnt have pinstripes
