I have a b16 boosted. I bought a phantom grip ignoring all the bad talk i heard about it. but now i cant find anyone who will install it for me. so i am thinking of buying a better tranny with lsd. what would you guys recommend? GSR, Type-R??? I wouldn't mind still using the phantom grip and hitting it hard and see how long it lasts, so anyone know a tranny shop in minneapolis that would do it?

 

Shops won't install it for a reason. Run it if you want, but when it breaks the transmission will need to be thrown in the trash. If you want an OEM LSD, get an ITR/CTR trans, the viscous LSD's found in everything else are crap IMO.

 

GSR with MFactory LSD would be nice
