Default header compatibility between DC5 and 06 Si.

I drive an 05 Rsx Type S and I just installed a skunk2 megapower R 70mm catback. I'm looking at headers now to complete the full exhaust, but I have a question.

I love skunk2 products, especially exhaust components, so I want the megapower R header. Only problem is, they only make them for the 06 Si. Since b-series headers for the most part are compatible, is this the same for the k-series? Also, i noticed that the megapower r only has one bung for the 02 sensor, did honda completely do away with the upstream 02? Or am I mistaken?

I really don't want a different header unless the skunk2 won't work, in which case I'll probably get a Kiddracing header. Any helpful advice?

i installed recently a vibrant header from a 06 Si to a 04 DC5. they had to modify the end piece a little bit.but for the most part i guess it'll fit. however i would rather get something that's made for the DC5. and kiddracing header is basically a SSR/Hytech replica header(which are the best in the market)

i was looking at the kiddracing as a replacement, they are from i know, to be able to fit most k20's....it was designed for swap of the kseries motors into the em2's but since we share similar chassis it fits on rsx's and ep's, with minor modifiaction........

Exactly why i thought the megapower r for the 06 Si would be compatible for the Type S. It's kinda like the type r header for the b-series, fits on every chassis with a b-swap. Although, I'm kinda new to the K-series so I don't know the compatibility between motors. I'm just now learning the specs for the internals and how I-vtec works.

What is minimal modification, though?

Part of my affinity for Skunk2 exhausts comes from a del sol that a buddy of mine had. He had every single part for his type R motor Skunk2. It sounded so ridiculous, it was like a little european sports car. Kind of reminded me of a mini Ferarri f50 or F355. Easily ran low 13s on street tires, destroyed an STI and an SRT-4 and even kept up with a Boxster-S. By far the fastest all-motor car I've ridden in with a B-series.

cutting and possible fabrication...you cant forget everything you know about b-series and compatibility, k-series motors are different is every way and do not always have the same compatilibilty..... kseries> bseries
