cheap coilovers ride bad, but they let you go as low as you want thats why I like them and i dont really care abt a bumpy ride.

Lowering springs have a set height which you can not change(without cutting springs and crap which is stupid). I wld personally rather be low and look good than drop my car 2 inches and ride ok

How low do you want the car to go and how much money are you willing to spend?

you can get cheap coilovers same price as springs, so basically it comes down to if you wanna be comfortable or not

i'm not sure what stock height is with 17's,
But, I'd say i wanna drop it about 2 inches? My money is tight right now so, id like to spend under $300.

My vote would be for Koni Sport (Yellow) shocks instead of springs.

Upgraded shocks that can handle future changes if desired, replacement for the 12 year old stock shocks which probably could stand to be replaced anyway, and the ability for minor lowering without increasing the spring rate or buying springs, just move the circlip down to the lower position.

Anyway, just a suggestion.

Very good suggestion! You can use the stock springs and still lower it by setting the perch at it's lowest setting. Can't beat Koni quality.

i agree with tunernoob. get the shocks now, then when you have more money you can get springs. its good do to any large purchase in steps whenever possible. the koni yellows are one of the best performance shocks available.

If u got 17s on there I would go with Eibach lowering springs, because you won't need the extra low adjustment that the coilover has to offer. The only way you can go low with 17s is roll your fenders so your tires don't rub. But if you do decide to get coilovers, you can get cheap ones for about $100 plus shipping maybe even cheaper, and these will give you a low stance but the ride will be rough. I would save a little more money and go with Skunk2s or ground Controls. They'll give you a good ride. And changing your shocks might be the best idea depending on their condition.

I'm buying new rims either 15s or 16s.
i just want my car lowered so it wont have such a hideous wheel gap.

If I buy ebay coilovers, what else would i need?
or if i buy lowering springs, what else would i need?

sorry for all the questions

When you buy the coilovers just make sure they come with the 4 sleeves, 4 coils 2 steel rings and a assortment of rubber O rings. The only other thing you will need other that that is some elbow grease, lol. But if I were you I would just save a little more money and buy a good set of coilovers (Sk2 or GC). ImportReplacementParts.com has them for a decent price($290-$360). I had a generic set on my car and the ride just kept getting worse and worse. And don't worry about all the questions, I just hope I was able to help you. Good choice of wheel size.

Agreed. I would not recommend anything from ebay. Not only is stuff from ebay absolute junk, but when you are talking suspension cheap coilovers are just not safe. Either get some namebrand lowering springs or save your money for something like K-Sport Coils. Deal with the gap, save some $ and do it right the first time. Just my $.02
