2010 CRV Review
Quick review: Went CRV shopping last night for my wife. This was to replace her 1999 CRV (which is now my winter beater).
Dealership had a mix of '09 and '10 CRVs. Of note, the big difference between the two is the 180hp motor vs the 166hp motor in the '09. We drove both and honestly, you can tell the difference between the two. Freeway on-ramp acceleration is definitely more effortless in the '10. As well, the extra painted surfaces on the '10 is a nice touch and gives it a bit more of an upscale appearance.
We settled on a '10 EX AWD. Was going to get the EX-L, but leather seating surfaces and a 2-year old child made me a bit nervous, plus it didn't matter that much to her anyways.
Not that the '99 CRV is a bad vehicle, but man--the 2010 really came a long way in just over 10 years. Personally I prefer the styling of the boxy '99 (looks more man-ish), but everything else on the new car is way more refined.
I looked at other vehicles in that segment (RAV4, etc) and none offered the quality of the Honda--and many were much more expensive when optioned equally.
What's weird is that the dealership wasn't pricing the 09's anymore aggressively than the '10's. I might have considered the '09 if the price would have been absolutely smokin, but it wasn't. I guess they are confident that the 09's will sell sooner or later.

i just bought the 2010 exl today too and i felt like the 09 had more low end power.. but the 3k savings wasnt worth it to mee in the long run.. and this one has ipod controld built in also i wish it was a little quicker and maybe a tid bigger but it had great clearance and drives like a car
