I think you mean your check engine light, take it to autozone or advance auto they will check the codes (that is why you see "my engine lamp show all the time").

Your running at 160 km/h and asking if it's OK to drive your car with the check engine light on..... Just keep doing what your doing. it will be OK. 
Seriously, Have the codes read from the ECU and fix whatever it is that is causing the engine light to stay on. If you can hit 160 km/h it's probably not anything major.
