Needing help with some axles.. please
I have an 89 CRX and it has a b-16 motor swap in it and i am having trouble getting the axle cups out of the transmission if somebody could jelp me it will be appreciated.( also i have tried a big pry bar and a hammer and still cant get them out so could somebody post an easy way.
Sometimes people get a little bit of surface rust or grunge on them and force them in making it hard to get out.
I just use a tapered chizzle and start tapping it all around where the axle meets the tranny.

If you go get a ball joint seperator from any auto parts store and u widen it by grinding the inside of it by about a 1/4 of an inch on both side it will pry it out i found this to be the easiest way i use the tool every time i need to change axles a couple of wacks with a deadblow hammer and wala its out......
Hey after math hatch what were you talking about when using the ball joint tool . Like you talking about grinding some of the end off and then driving it in between the axle cup and where it goes behind the motor

use a bigger hammer. i have had one stuck really bad cause the c-clip bent. so nothing was getting it out. until i grabbed the 5pound sludge hammer and gave it a couple good hits with a steel punch and that bitch came rite out. or try using to pry bars at once so it evenly pries it out, and spin it a couple times between tries
