Car is 2001 Honda Civic Si,

So I was just driving around and at a quick traffic light, i hit the brakes kinda hard, the pedal shook, and vibrated and then went all the way down, and on the way up made the "pup" noise. It was pouring out so i didn't want to get out, but when i got home i noticed that my rear wheel, (the wheel thats brake line popped, had oil all over it) (brake fluid). I checked my fluid level and it was low, but when i pulled the tire off i found out that the line had snapped..


Whats the cause of this?

I just had my rotors/pads/calipers/master cylinder/ changed

I am total stumped !

 

Old rusted brake line, just get a new one and put it on asap

 

when you replaced your rotors and pads and everything else it might of gotten caught in between something and snapped but yeah replace a new one asap and make sure it has clearance

 

Brake hardline? or hose? If it was the hose, was it twisted when they removed the caliper?

 

you would think that, but there is NO RUST, at all, the line that popped, is in good condition

 

Hardline, oem honda/

 

I upgraded to some stainless steel braided "flex lines" with an extra inch of length for flexing etc.
