Truthfully i want pretty much a more modern civic, such as an ep3 civic
or the new civic Si.
But I'm not sure. ( I plan to do some tuning if i just get a regular 90's civic, if is
a si, or type r i plan not to do as much, same goes for the newer civic such as the 8th gen civics)

well theft rate on the new si's are a lot lower than the previous gens for now.
we have hondata flashpro and cobb ap for tuning now.
if i were you, i would get a new si.
dont get the ep3. its equivalent to an ls with bolt-ons.

Get the new SI.. like what i-vtec said, a Type-R or SIR will just lead to more headaches when it comes to theft..

if u do get a older civic put a kill switch in it and pull the ecu everytime you park, oh ya u might want to look into a kryptonite chain and lock but ther like $150 every 5 feet and two alarms one on a second battery or atleast thats wat i did and no theft yet or just get a newer honda! lol

LOL the extent we go to, to stay away from theft.. On my old EK I had a wheel boot, quick release with the hub lock and my immobilizer alarm with pager and a back up siren hidden..

lol @ having to tie your car up at night.

You might as well just pull the engine every night, put it in your living room, and tow the shell over to your buddies house.

If you have the cash, get a new Si, like many have said, don't bother with an EP3 since they are slow and not that many performance mods are available for it. With the release of FlashPro, the Si will be like the RSX or even better, and as you might already know, the K20 is an excellent motor.

They are also stolen a lot less compared to the older civics. Just for that, you should have an easy decision in front of you.

Do you have this? How strong does the plug hold in and what if you're driving and it comes loose? Not that I think it can.

OK no alarm system needed..just throw a fart can on it and when when someone try to steal ur car its gonna wake the whole neighborhood....
no but foreal i heard the only thing that really prevent theft is to block ur car in with another car..
and i think the new si four door are pretty raw..i mod out the sickest car on the honda website

fart cans? you mean those performance exhaust systems? yeah i like them with their nice sounds but i mean if it wasn't for people calling fart cans i'l buy one my self. but idk why do people even put them on is it because their car doesn't make a lot of noise since it's a v4?
and it is a performance part, i see them on other car for example the new Sti comes with a SPT cat back exhaust system that gives it a nice sound and no one calls them fart cans
i guess it only people with honda's that they make fun off... ( no offense)

I suggest you learn more about automobiles in general before you make assumptions or even think about modifying a car.

The honda scene gets a bad reputation because they are relatively cheap to buy and modify (usually they fall into immature or clueless hands). No one makes fun of Subarus and Mitsu's for being loud because for how loud the are, they are that much quicker. Honda's on the other hand are underpowered in comparison. For how much noise some Honda's make (post 'fart can' install), they don't have the speed to match.

a V4??..is a inline 4..ok those people with those loud *** cans think they might be getting power but they're not..u lose power cuz of lack of back pressure and cuz the pipe before ur can is smaller then the can itself and its actually slow down exhaust coming out..and mybe on turbo cars where u dont need *** much back pressure it might help.. i took class and it really help

oh and btw its really loud for some..remove the resonator and the silencer in the can and then its gonna sound horrible..i got a friend that does it and he think its sound like the coolest thing ever, even thought everyone think it sound like his car is having massive diarrhea. apperntly 4 cyl and a higher pitch then a 8cyl
