help: dpfi to mpfi, obd0-obd1 conversion, main relay buzzing
hey guys
i've been doing a LS/vtec into an ef hatchback. i did the dpfi to mpfi conversion and i'm using a rywire obd0-obd1 conversion harness. got it all buttoned up and went to turn the ign on and the main relay buzzes and i cant hear the fuel pump running.
i've searched and found numerous people claim that is it a bad ground so i will have to go through and clean and reinstall all of these but as of now they are all on and tight.
my one major question is this.
for the yellow/black wires for the injectors i joined them all together and connected them to one of the yellow/blacks from the old DPFI injector plugs. (when i ohm out either of the original DPFI yellow/black wires at the relay they are at the same pin, so they join in the harness before the relay obviously.)
is this the correct wire to join the injector wires to? the other yellow/black wire coming out of the relay changes to black/yellow at the plug on the drivers side shock tower and i have ohmed out all over the harness and havent found where that wire goes?
anyways any pointers would be appreciated. thanks

yes i will do that for sure. i wont be able to work on it again until tomorrow night.
i'll do this as well.
i'm guessing this will be a no right now since the pump isnt running.
this was a bone stock running car, everything working before doing the swap. so whatever is going on is something i have changed.
anybody have the answer to my "MAJOR QUESTION" above about the injector wiring?
thanks for the replies so far guys! i'll keep you posted!

i'm using the obd1 saturated injectors so i'm not using a resistor box. i'm hoping it will go away when i clean up all the grounds. i'll find out tonight i guess
I have been kinda having the same issues but my injectors wont fire.
If I were you Id lean more towards the main relay because when that goes the fuel pump wont prime atleast thats what happened to me 3 times now.
But mine primes and gets fuel to the rail and the inj have power just wont fire them. Im lost pissed and sick of messing with mine.
let us know what you find

polished up the thermostat ground and my dad had the ground that runs from the framerail to the starter connected to the battery tray for some reason. lol.
fixed that and it fired right up.
so the injector wiring was correct. obd1 injectors, no resistor box, and you can use either yellow/black wires from the original DPFI injector plugs.
