I was just wondering if any of you guys in here have use the 3M clear bra on your car? Especially for those of you who have a nice paint on your car.

3M clear bra: a plastic that use to put over the head of the car to protect paint. Use along with tools to make it visible.

I just thought it was cool stuff to have done on a nice paint job car...
what do you guys think???

^^^ your post is completely irrelevant to this thread. He is referring to a clear, vinyl sheeting that is placed on the front of the car to protect from bugs, rock chips, road grime and so forth... I have never used the 3M, Lumar also makes this type of product. I would imagine after a while, the vinyl would also pit from rock chips and become ugly and useless, then you'll absolutely have to repaint after you remove that crap.

 

i dont like using any bra, let the paint do what its meant to do, if it gets bad, repaint the car, bra defeats the purpose of getting nice looking paint

 

just do more coats of clear on the front end and lower
it just takes more time, it will help in not showing the chips

 

X2 v8killaz... i usually use a little extra hardener in my clear coat for the front as well as a couple extra coats
