Default Looks or performance?

Hey guys i am in a bind right now. I have done alot to my ek hatch like cf hood, duckbill, mirrors, gsr leathers, jdm fogs, circuit 10s and things like that but i still have my stock y7. Do you think i should save up the 2gs for a full b16a swap or just keep the stock motor till it blows and keep doing looks? i need some opinions bad. Thanks.

Well how much more do you wanna add to it? what kinda of suspension setup are you running. I think a car thatlooks nice and handles great is way more fun to own that a car that is fast, but looks beat up and wont go up and down the twisties.

Also why a b16? have you thought a bout an ls, lsv, gsr or anything else?

In my opinion, performance is ALWAYS better than looks. but then again what are you using your car for? If you want a show car than looks are the way to go. But if want to go fast, have fun, and race than performance is the way to go. Plus, look at the fun factor. Whats more fun- doing 100mph racing or standing next to your car admiring how good it looks. lol

you have to change the mounts for any b series swap, it doesnt matter if its a b16 or LS. LS w/ a b16 tranny will keep up with if not beat b16's, and if you want vtec get a head and lsv it and smash b16 all day

I wouldn't waste my time with a full b16 swap. You're basically spending $2k (or more) on an extra ~53hp/~13tq compared to the d16y7. Buy the b16 motor (trans and longblock), ditch the short block and throw the head and tranny on a LS short block, or a b20 short block . Or just get a LS motor, and boost a little for some fun.

Thats a matter of your opinion.

OP, from the sounds of it you have a nice looking car. I think EGsleeper has given you some good thoughts to sleep on and think about. Also if you haven't already done so(which I hope you have)do some things for security to prevent theft. A nice clean honda like it sounds your is, is just an eye target for freakin thiefs. Read up on effective layers of security. Theres some good threads out there about it.
