Default d16y8 valve adjustment

so i bought a 95 ej1 with the d16y8 swapped into it. i was told that the engine had 80000 when the swap was done. well sounds like the valves need adjusted but is it normal for this adjustment at this amount of miles? and how difficult is it? and can i do it without destroying anything?

thanks

I recommend that you get someone with experience to help you, at least the first time. There are some nuances to it that are hard to get by reading alone. It's hard to get the feel for how the feeler should drag.
