Default It is require to change automatic belt tension...?????

Hey guys, Im about to change my timing belt in my lude. And I want you guys opinions...............it is require to change the automatic belt tension as well or can I still used my old auto belt tension...............???????????????????????????? ?????? Any advices and suggestions is appreciate..................thanks...........

you mean the tensioner? JUST SPELL IT OUT MAN! but yea you might as well change it

those things are known to fail that why alot of people switch it to manual tensioner.

Actually that was only with the 97 & 98 models. The part was 'superceded' for the 99-01 model years. The superceded part is an improved design which wasn't prone to failure as the earlier ones on the 97 & 98s. It is recommended that the tensioner be changed with the timing & balance belts just like the water pump is because the belts have to come off to change them anyway 'preventive maintenance'.

Thanks for the suggestion and advices guys.......What kind of parts do I need to have in order for me to convert from auto to maual belt tensioner..........???????? Any suggestions........Thanks.........
