Default electrical problem?

I got a 90 civic si and i know its cold out its winter and batteries die.

but idk i let my car run for 30 mins and the head lights kept dimming but when i reved the engine lights got brighter....

so it hought its the alternator... so to test it i unhooked the battery car still ran so that eleminated that.

i turned car off and back on and it wouldnt start..... it just made the clicking noise like when the batterys dead... so i thought the battery wasnt holding a charge so i got another one.... ( we had a spare in the shed i charged with a battery charger)
i started up the car and it ran again for like 30 mins... i even drove it around.... came back home turned it off and started it and it struggled to start.... so im like wtf.... i dunno what the deal is.. plz help if u can...

Sorry if its not clear... just help as best as u can plzzz

change your alternator, just bc you unhook the batt doesnt mean the alt still cant be bad

the belt loose? no, you can find a used honda alternator for 20 bux on your local honda forum, or go to a shop where they have a machine that can test the alternator

Its the dumbest ****ing problem like it so dumb it just makes me mad...

Omfg before i went to buy a altinator i said **** it lemme do everything first.... so i get my old batt off charger one i thought was ****ed put it in my car it started.. i said ok cool.. then i was thinking not battery and i dont think altonator is bad..... what else could it be.. then i thought what if my subs are hooked up wrong and its draining my car.. cause the wire is ****ing huge... and the amp for my subs is small only 2 10s.... any way.. i unhooked the power wire from batt..... and sure enough..... it was the ****ing sub wire like wtf... its always the most obvious problems that take forever to fix...
