Default puel pump?

hey all. I was driving at 55 mph when my car started surging and exhaust backfired a couple times just like a car running out of fuel. the tach wasnt jumping so I figured it wasnt crossed wires. It hasnt shut off on me yet but it does it after driving several miles. before winter I changed fuel filter plugs, cap, rotor, and coil(it went bad) so Im assuming f/p if anyone thinks different or have any other suggestion please help. motor is jdm h22a 66k miles and body has 220k

it has never been plugged up since I bought it. plus its a swap so it has no wires running to it on the harness. I thought tps is the sensor on the opposite side of the throttle lever and is controlled by the throtte shaft??

I want to say that there are a couple of vaccumm ports just right of the sensor that are connected as part of the throttle body, might be unplugged as well, which Im pretty sure would cause vaccumm leaks.... Idk just a thought...
