Anyoone /run PanaSports on Their EF/ED? Found Some Rota Knock-Offs!
I saw these wheels a long time ago, but I couldn't put them on my 1992 CX hatch because they're 13'' only plus I don't think an older-school wheel like the Panasport looks correct on the newer 1992-up cars.
Now that I have a 1990 hatch I'm thinking of getting the Rota knock-offs of the Panasports.
Anyone got a good pic of them? Anyone here own some?
Only pic I've seen is here:
http://www.rotawheels.com/our_wheels.htm
Third row down, all the way to the right.
Also they have a "Retro" wheel too. First wheel on the left on the fourth row. Those look pretty slck too.
I love the look of the PanaSports on the EF/ED, but I simply will not spend PanaSport money on them.
Any better pics would be greatly appreciated.

13x8 though
sounds like an autocross wheel to me
13 really isnt any fun on the street handling wise either.
the retro's look ok. kinda retro
give em a shot. you'll be one of the first to have em

Here's a better pic:

They would probably look absolutely killer on the EF/ED body style.

Here's a better picture of the retro:

Looks kind of like aloose knock-off of the old school Mugen wheel that looks like an amplifyer.

Aren't those absolutely bad-*** looking?
Holy crap!
And I'll bet that they are cheap as hell considering that their 15'' wheels go for like $400.00 a set shipped.

Sorry Rexman
What kind of sizes and prices were you getting, and where were you going to get them from?
I'm assuming they only come in silver, right?
I sell Rotas at my shop here in GA, so I was going to call our distributor about the Retros.
i hope they at least have 14x6. I already have 14'' steelies on my 1990 so I don't want to downsize to 13'' wheels.
I also wonder about the weight of them since the Slips, Sub Zeros, and C8 wheels are all light weight.

but i do like the PanaSports on a corrolla
If you really wanted to get technical and "correct" then you'd run Watanabe Wheels rather than the Euro-PanaSports.

Watanabes are bad-*** looking

my black racings are really bad-*** looking.. i'll get a pic..
but as for the rota's, they are only available in 15x6.5, 4x100/4x114.3 with a +38 offset...
dunno about the price. but if you can get a set, lemme know.. i want one.. i may have to give up my 14x6 mugen CF-48's, if i get my new brake kit, so i need something for racing...

Wait, the Rota Retro is only in 15x6.5?
That's really wierd.

That means they'll probably be the same price as the Slipstream, Circuit 8, and Sub Zero.
Anyways, do you have a pic of the real Mugen wheel that the Rota is knocking off?
I don't think it's the ones that look like aimplifyers though...I know I've seen the real ones somewhere!

im trying to find some one who has Retro's. Going to Coat Inside black and leave lip polished! That will look pretty sweet.

Great minds think alike?
Those are probably Watanabe wheels, not PanaSports.
They look identical from that distance, but the Watanabes were much more popular with the Japanese tuners than the PanaSport wheels.
