i thought titanium had to be in a chamber filled with inert gas to be welded properly?

it doesn't have to be in a chamber.

It just has to have the gas on both sides of the weld. I believe he purged it as you would stainless.

I'm gonna have to jump on this band wagon by saying this is truly a work of art. :D

Nice and very cool.. very nice fabrication.. But I would have had some flex sections in there.. Hope it won´t crack like it is when the differnt parts expand by the heat..
