Default rsx issues

the other night i was drivin and all my gauges started flashing and my power steering went out. i pulled over and turned my car off then turned it back on and it was fine. what the hell did it do that for?

Sounds like a short in your electrical system.

Check all the grounding points.

it could have just been a surge nothing serious id say check all electrical plugs under the hood too make sure they arnt wet then wait to see if it ever happens again it happened to me to but its been like a year now and it hasnt happened again..its just a relay that probably got stuck for a second thats all.....good luck

check you drive belt ......rsx has a pwoer steering pump and should not be effected by a power surge and alike....when belts get old, they can get wet and the crank pulley will just spin on them...when this happens you loose power steering and the alt is not charging so the light will dim....I have a blower and I go through a belt every 8 month to a year, regular cars can need belts changed ever 2 -4 years depending on milage,where you live and what you drive through. If you live in a road salt area, a lot of tat sand can get cought up in the belt and reduce its grip.
