hey guys first post in a while i recently got back into hondas and i have a swapped Del Sol, so the switch from the tranny to activate the reverse lights is messed up, or not hooked up. is there any way to run wires from the trunk up to the dash with out drilling? i need to pass mass inspection and this is all i need to pass, any help would be great. thanks.

 

Yea, I hadta take one completely apart to remove a stereo and sub/amp combo a while back...they had the box mounted right behind the seats (YA..WHERE lol) but I did notice a gap on the bottom of the rear firewall on either side. It was big enough for 10ga, so youre 18 for reverse lights should be fine

there are 2 open spaces that lead from the front to the back on eithe side of the car. if you take your interior out, take a look at how the wire for the antenna is ran, this will give you an idea, but I used this area to run two 1-guage wires for my back battery. give it a shot. It's basically between the Inner-infrastructure and the outer shell of the car

 

Yeah what these guys said... On each side there is a hole or two which you can use to pass wires through...I did manage to get a wire through there without taking all the rear compartments out, but it was a complete bitch, so just take it all out and you shouldn't have any problems.

 

why not just hook up the switch? or replace the switch? unless the piece inside your tranny's messed up.
