Okay so I bought some mudflaps from a guy on craigslist, I was thinking I was going to get all 4, but the doushebag only gave me 2 rear ones that are "rare and discontinued."
Anyways now I have to find the 2 front mud flaps, I hear that I can use 2-3 or 4 door Front mud flaps but where can I get them?

The guy told me the junkyard but when I went to car-part.com to look for mud guards for local junkyard I couldn't find "mud guards" Should I just call around but theres so much terms for these things like "mud guard/ flap, splash guard" I don't know how to search

ebay are charging like $50 for just the front mud guards so that will be my last resort, for those that are experienced part hunters where do you suggest I go?

Also.. where can I find the screws to attach them?

haha I didn't buy it from ebay I brought it from craigslist, it was a vietnamese boater guy, he didn't put the amount of mud guards on the ad, so i assumed it was all 4. When I got there he pulled out 2, and he drove from pretty far, I didn't want make him drive all the way there for no reason. I got it for $30 bucks? not tooo bad..

 

Well you SHOULD have gotten all 4 from ebay.(i just bought all 4 for $65 shipped)
But thats no longer an option so nvm.

The front ones dont change, that i know of, its the rear ones that change from 96-98 to 99-00. And even then hatchback rear bumpers didnt change in 99.
So if you find any at the junkyard from any ek.
Or you could buy aftermarket for like half the price.
Or check the dealer although believe it or not if you want oem ebay is gonna be the cheapest.

 

yeah i should of got 4 of them from ebay because oem+new is the ****.. but im thinking about checking the junkyard for good condition or decent condition because I might paint them..

 

Call Honda and ask about buying just the fronts. I think it's available.

 

wait do all model civic 96-00 have the same mud guards? because i found some oem front 96-00 mud guard, but it says 2-4 door. But the fronts are all the same right?

 

Fronts are all the same.

'96-'98 coupe/sedan rears are the same. '99-'00 coupe/sedan rears are the seam. '96-'00 hatch rears are the same.

 

wow, so it is alot cheaper when you type in "oem splash guards civic" instead of "oem mud guards" difference of $30 and $60. I have a question though, the guy didn't give me any screws should I buy oem screws and where? or should I just go to lowes and find some screws? I saw the honda installation manual thing and it requires 2 rubber grommet 12 self tapping screws and 4 spring nuts.

I'm sure i can find screws at this universal screw place in seattle. But where can I get 2 rubber grommets for the rear, and 4 spring nuts?

Theres a set on a car here in a local junk yard. I thought about grabbing them but decided against it because I still have my flaps.

 

i think i can just be a zip tie technician.. for the rubber grommet part at least, Ill try to find some screws at lowes.
