i personally do not like the y8. due to oiling issues. but anyway... an obd2 vtec harness worked on an ls? ls is non vtec. but idk. might work. plug the engine harness into the main harness... dadada into ecu. it should drop right in. i may have misunderstood you on the harness thing tho... just get a y8 engine harness. should be cheap. did i answer your question?

yea the harness works it came with the car i think was custom made cuz it has like every plug on it it possibly can but like the knock sensor does it have to be wired in or plug and play and other sensors

since the harness is obd2... as is the y8. plug and play on the sensors. when you get it in and if you have wiring problems... just go get one off of a y8.

as far as wiring the knock sensor... just run a pin to the ecu...see the diagram for pin location... then get the connector that plugs into the knock sensor location (below the intake manifold on the back of the block) run the wire... DO NOT take my word for it unless someone else on here backs me up. do research about it.

ofc a harness with VTEC would work on a non-VTEC motor. Because you simply dont run a VTEC ECU and obviously you cant plug in VTEC. The harness doesn't matter, its just that some are pre-wired for VTEC while others are not.

He lied, I have a bad knock sensor and it throws a CEL but vtec works fine.

ALL Y8s are SUPPOSED to have a knock sensor.
