Default Which Suspension should i purchase? ej1

Well first off i have a 93 civic ex coupe. i currently have a completely stock suspension. I would like to purchase a suspension setup that will have great functionality but still street drivable. I dont want to drop my ride height to much because i live down a mile of dirt road which i hate. I'm going to be honest and say i dont know very much about suspensions. All of my work so far has been to the engine, learning on my own. I would like to spend between 500-1000 dollars on a setup. preferably around 500 but i dont know if anything for that price is worth it.

I was looking at the Eibach sport plus kit/pro plus kit, and the TEIN Basic Coilover Kit. From what i read on here it sounds like i should just save the extra money and get the tein coilover kit.

Tein sucks until you get into well over the $1000 range.

How much are you looking to drop the car? Is this simply going to be driven daily?

if possible i would like to drop it a half inch to an inch at very most. Yes, daily driven except during winter and taken to the occasional autocross or track day. Im looking for something that will give me decent street drivability but still be able to tear it up at the track now and again. thanks for the info on the Teins BTW.

Go Skunk2 Pro C's, like 800-900 buck, I plan on getting it till I got into it with a deer. Can go to 4in drop.

Why not Koni/GC's? For your daily and some times auto-x that would be a great set up. If not you could always check out those Progress full coilovers that they are having a special on.

If you're really going to drive it mostly on the street, back and forth...upgrade the shock to a Tokico Illumina, KYB AGX or Koni Str.T and put on a nice drop spring. Eibach's Pro Kit would be a nice set. If you want a little lower...Neuspeed, H&R and Progress all make a nice spring that can suit your needs.
