I had spherical bearings on a track day rabbit gti.....After every rain it sounded like a pack of very upset mice going down the road....no idea if function 7 will do the same.....

Whats the advantage of having the spherical bearing as opposed to the regular bushing?
As a daily driver I would be concerned about road salt and other things damaging the bearing. But as a track car, I would think the suspension would be alot stiffer. Also look out for counterfeit function 7 parts. The website warns people about it on this page function7 .com/warning .

Unfortunately the spherical bearings are a wear item and will be noisier as they wear down. However the spherical bearings are teflon lined so they will not squeak, but as they wear down there will be more road noise.
The spherical bearing arms are intended for "no compromise" race cars and not for daily driving in harsh environments (i.e. heavy winters/salted roads etc).
Like all our products our spherical bearing arms are designed to be field replaceable (e.g. if you're out on the track and need to replace parts) so if they do wear out, new spherical bearings can be dropped in very easily. The spherical bearings are standard aerospace-grade components so they will always be available.
That said, we do provide a 3-year warranty on our spherical bearings, but the rest of the arm is covered by our standard lifetime warranty.

Yeah. I would not put those things on a daily driver. Going to be very rough and bumpy ride! There could be times your girlfriend might like it a little though.
Back from the dead a 2 year old thread !! I am looking into function 7 s my car is mostly a track car with occasional street driving but very little .Who has run the function 7 s with or without the spherical bearings that can give some input on weather or not to go with the spherical bearings or not .They both list as being for extreme use any input is appreciated !
Thanks
I definitely don't want any squeak, squeak **** goin on ! Do you track it at all ? Are you putting down big power and driving it hard ?? Both of their lcas are listed for extreme duty .I am leaning toward the spherical brngs as I don't daily it but they are more expensive I drive hard and track the car often .I appreciate your input and anyone else who can chime in please do share your experience with the function 7 s
