Default engine air filter location?

I've been trying to make sure I know where the air filter would be, but don't want to just take covers off of things unknowingly. My Owners Manual only discusses the cabin air filters location. I have a Honda Accord 07 LX 4Cly.

Any advice as to its location would be appreciated.

Also, how often should it be replaced? I think it was replaced around 20k miles ago.

Thanks.

Replacement intervals for the air filter should be stated in your owner's manual: every 15,000 miles for severe conditions unless dusty conditions; every 30,000 miles for normal conditions. Normal and severe conditions are defined in the owner's manual.

Thanks for the image. I assumed that was where it was as it looked like an O2 sensor was attached. But, my manual didn't say the location. I did see the part regarding the recommended intervals. but, I thought some real input might be worth requesting.

Thanks again.

Okay I tried accessing this housing. I removed the four screws, but it seems that something else has to be done. There is an O2 sensor (?) and then duct. Do those have to come off as well? I don't want to just disassemble random crap to try to get to the filter...

Advice appreciated.

After you loosen or removed the four 8mm screws holding the air cleaner housing, you may want to loosen the bolt (do not remove the bolt) on the clamp, so that you can lift the top of the air cleaner housing.

The sensor you are probably referring to is a Mass Air Flow (MAF) sensor. No need to mess with that; but, you can always disconnect the electrical connector and reconnect afterward.
