Is this guy crazy? (he wants $3500 for this car)

While it's great that this car has the actual miles on it, it has had FIVE owners (including him), has failed emissions multiple times, registered as a corporate lease car, has been in an accident and is an Arizona car which would explain why it doesn't have any plates.
I offered the guy $2100 because the KBB value is $2380 for fair condition, and $2830 for good condition.

Everyone overprices their car on craigslist. They have to.
If you don't, and price it fairly, then you end up with nothing but frustration dealing with idiots trying to bargain down the price on a fairly priced car (been there, done that). If you overprice it, you then watch those same idiots try and bargain down the price to a reasonable value, which ends up working for both parties.

if i sell a car, overprice it big time ( some morons come thinking its still a good deal ) and let them hammer you down until your happy with a price. i have a price already in my mind when most come anyways and if not tell them to go f--- themselves.
whatever dude, just get over it and find a different car. There are plenty of A. douche bags and B. insane deals on Craigslist. Keep searching and you'll find someone who wants $2k for a clean sedan.

ok sorry if this offended you. but to what i believe is, its their car let them price it out however they wanted. you dont like the price move on to the next car and dont b*tch about the price being too high...
problem is, I have been waiting at least six months to buy a car that is exactly like the civic listed. Problem is, most on craigslist are coupes. hatches or the wrong color! This also happens to be the closest one I can find. sigh
Haha, you gonna keep looking, the prob is your in Cali, cars tend to be alot more pricier there. Dont you get a clue by now, your $2100 is not buying you a 4dr civic otherwise you wouldnt need to wait 6 months and still havent purchased one yet...
Might be a stupid question , but you just searched on craigslist ? How about honda marketplace ? The previous car I bought I was actually the 3rd owner and clean title for 2400 a 97 ek hatch stock
if its too high and you're not willing to pay than move on to the next one. people range their prices according to what they think they're car is worth, not by the blue book. even in a dealer ship i sometimes see cars rated over the blue book. only the insurances will give you the price of a blue book.

Also, Guys,,,, stop comparing a Hatch with a sedan, its totally different pricing between the 2,,,, Keep in mind, supply and demand!!! a sedan has a much larger crowd of buyers than a hb thus driving up the demand. Most Honda-tech buyers like the hb over the sedan but keep in mind, there are New Immigrants, College Students, High School Kids, new families, ppl that want a practical beater, so on,,, etc.... Im pretty sure your local cashier at the supermarket would rather buy a civic 4dr over a hb. Im talking about a normal 35+ year old lady, not a 18year old Honda-tech junkie..
I was showing you specifically because you made a bold claim that "your $2100 is not buying you a 4dr civic." If I can find that random car by typing in "1996 civic" and scrolling down, I'm pretty sure A. the deals are out there and B. the OP can figure it out for himself.
